Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Milwaukee (In-person 3 days per week post-training)

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 annually

Overview:
This is an exciting change to join our corporate Accounting team at Good Feet Midwest, an expanding franchisee of The Good Feet Store, America’s #1 Arch Support Store. With 40+ locations across the Midwest and South, we’re poised for significant growth, planning to double our stores in the next 3–5 years. Our mission is to improve people’s well-being and get them back to the life they love through premium Good Feet Arch Supports.

This full-time role offers hybrid work flexibility after an initial training period. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional accounting skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to support the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
Oversee cash applications, ensuring timely and accurate allocations.
Review and validate daily financial activities for compliance and accuracy.
Prepare and file sales and use tax reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Reconcile and maintain records for fixed assets.
Support additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
A minimum of 1-3 years of professional accounting experience.
Strong proficiency in accounting principles and financial software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid work schedule with the potential to be remote 2 days a week after the training period.
Training will take place on-site for the first 2-3 months.
