Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is the hands-on sales performance and training leader for a group of stores. ASMs deliver in-store coaching, oversee employee onboarding, provide ongoing training for Store Managers and Sales Consultants, ensure sales process and store execution consistency, assist with new store opening training, and are accountable for District performance expectations. This role will also lead by example and still be accountable for sales.
This role is designed for a proven sales performer and coach who is ready to expand their impact by developing others and strengthening sales execution across multiple stores.

What We’re Looking For:
Working Hours:
This is a full-time, salaried position with additional opportunities to earn commission and performance-based bonuses. Schedule may vary based on store needs, training events, and travel within the district.
Typical Store Hours:
Weekdays: 10 AM – 6 PM
Saturdays: 9 AM – 5 PM
Sundays: 12 PM – 4 PM

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Coaching & Skill Development
- Provide in-store coaching on discovery, demo, objections, and closing skills
- Conduct shadow sessions during live customer interactions and deliver actionable feedback
- Ensure consistent execution of our sales process across all employees in your District
- Lead effective and engaging training sessions in-person and virtually
Training Execution & Ramp
- Lead onboarding for new hires and manage 30/60/90-day development plans
- Certify product knowledge and selling skills at each stage of development
- Track training completion, document store visits, and ensure consistent follow-up
Performance & Alignment
- Partner with District Manager to identify coaching priorities
- Partner with Store Managers to build and execute store-level action plans
- Communicate progress and training updates weekly to the District Manager and trainees
- Provide feedback to leadership on curriculum and field needs
Openings & Visit Cadence
- Execute opening-week training plans for new store launches alongside with other sales leadership
- Ensure day-one readiness and week-one execution
- Partner with District Manager on visit cadence for both new and existing stores
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of retail sales leadership/management experience with a track record of strong performance
- Ability to travel within District territory to delivery training
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others using behavior-based feedback
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver effective training sessions in-person and virtually
- Organized and consistent in follow-up, documentation, and execution
- Collaborative approach with the ability to partner effectively with DMs, SMs, and others

Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a weekly basis
- Ability to reach overhead into shelving units to maintain inventory
- Comfort standing for extended periods during in-store coaching
Additional Notes:
- Ideal candidates will have demonstrated consistent performance in their current role and a strong ability to influence others through leadership and coaching.
- This position may include travel between assigned stores and occasional overnight stays during store openings or special training events.
- Area Sales Managers will be expected to meet weekly as a team to align on priorities.
